iGrew, in Grand rapids Everyone's Well, provides services to build and strengthen the community, through adults and youth working together to create a brighter future.
Since 2011, IGREW has distributed an estimated 2,500 new and gently used winter coats. Within the first two years, iGREW has collaborated with well over 40 local, regional, and national businesses and organizations. There businesses are shining examples of community involvement, directly affecting those who frequent their business. Many of the coats distributed by iGREW, were given by the generous residents of West Michigan.
iGrew creates engaging philanthropic opportunities for West Michigan's young people. Participants, in a collaborative effort, gain experience in the marketable areas such as formulating budgets, marketing plans, volunteer management, and communication. iGrew has established great relationships with both local and national businesses, creating an invaluable networking experience. To this date, iGrew has worked with high school students from over 10 schools and can serve as International Baccalaureate Diploma Programma (IBDP) volunteer credit.
iGrew Crew works with a small group of 5th grade students within Harrison Park School. The goal of this program is designed to foster positive experiences and attitudes toward education. This programs's curriculum is designed and lead by Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. This allows participants to engage in fun activities while addressing the individual needs of each student.
